17th January 2021 marked the day we were officially recognized as a Mars Society Chapter. Thank you Dr. Zubrin for sharing with us. The meeting was informative and the members got the gist of the Initiative.
Those in attendance were;
Isaac Gathu : President/Founder, Mars Society Kenya
Dr. Constant Adero : Chairperson (Lecturer – Technical University of Kenya)
Patrcia Mutheu : Secretary
Mr. Andrew Nyawade : Representative – Kenya Space Agency
Our goal is to promote the space economy in the country with the mission of having Kenyans (humanity) settle on Mars so as to advance terraforming the Red Planet.
We are not just an organization, we are part of a large family.
There are many Mars Society chapters around the world. Although the Chapters are independent, they work for the same common purpose.
The Mars Society is a global advocacy group dedicated to the human exploration and settlement of the planet Mars. As such, our organization has dozens of chapters in the U.S. and around the globe, with 55 in total, each doing their own outreach and projects locally to help advocate among the general public for Mars exploration and the importance of humanity becoming multi-planetary.
